Has Mr. Snagglepuss been found?

On Wednesday readers of this blog were smacked in the face by the fierce reality that a cat from my neighborhood, Mr. Snagglepuss, was missing. His owners put up flyers everywhere asking if anyone had seen Mr. Snagglepuss. Everywhere held their breath. How could one sleep knowing that Mr. Snagglepuss was somewhere in the cold streets battling buffalo-sized rats and existential doubt?

No one slept.

But perhaps our sleepless nights are over.

Though I not a fan of jumping to conclusions (broke my ankle last time), I’ve intuited that Mr. Snagglepuss is back (and better than ever!). For those same flyers that appeared announcing to the world that Mr. Snagglepuss was missing, have mysteriously disappeared from every where they hung. Maybe, probably, almost definitely,  this means, the cat came back.

I know. We need certainty if we really want real closure. So I’ve put up a new sign on the door of the building where the flyers seemed to originate from. Hopefully, soon, we’ll know for sure.

If this wasn’t frosting enough on the cake of life, after hanging this flier, I noticed that someone had left a piece of cake on the stairs to my apt.

(Yes, of course I ate it)
